New track with Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha follows leaked version, plus Brit tweets single's cover art.

The "Till the World Ends" Femme Fatale remix
Photo: Jive
Just days after it was leaked on Friday, Britney Spears and her femme fatales, Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha, dropped their official remix of "Till the World Ends."
The new version of the song was produced by Dr. Luke and Dream Machine. Brit half-whispers " 'Till the World Ends' remix" before the beat kicks in and Nicki hits her verse hard. She spits fierce lines like, "Sniff, sniff, cries/ I done slayed your whole entire f---ing life."
Then Britney's sex-kitten vocals kick in for the song's first verse. "That's Britney, bitch! I'm Nicki Minaj and that's Ke$ha," the Queens MC declares before K sings the chorus. The beat is harder, the loops are sassier and the song is grimier than the original version, which was the second single from Femme Fatale. The newly added dubstep portion takes the one from "Hold It Against Me" to a new level by adding in bass-heavy synths.
Ke$ha, of course, wrote the track for Britney, and the ladies certainly don't seem to mind sharing the spotlight with each other. The official track isn't much different than the version that leaked over the weekend, though Spears did have something brand-new to share with her fans just as the song dropped on iTunes and streamed on her website.
Spears tweeted the artwork for the single, which features the original press photo of Spears along with separate photos of Nicki on the left and Ke$ha on the right. Spears wrote, "@NickiMinaj @Keshasuxx Too much fierceness for one cover! Thanks for lending your voices girls... #TTWEREMIX — Brit"
Spears and Minaj have been hanging out a lot in the lead-up to their summer tour. They hung out at the Factory nightclub on Friday night after Minaj's show in Los Angeles. Spears later wrote, "Early rehearsal after a late night with my girl @NickiMinaj. Can't WAIT to get out on the road with you."

The exhibition Blockbuster: Cinema for Exhibitions investigates how a number
of significant contemporary artists working with film and video have been
affected by, and redeploy in their own practices, cinematic strategies found
in the work of major 20th-century filmmakers.
Many of the works in Blockbuster: Cinema for Exhibitions analyze the manner
in
which meaning, narrative, and convention are established by employing
certain
qualities of cinema&lsqauo;breaking it down into its constituent parts to show us
its
powerfully manipulative and revealing aspects. Others reference the work of
directors who emphasize context and location, favoring an overall
atmospheric
effect. In a rather different way, some artists use a conceptual structure,
drawing a comparison between the role of filmmaking and the significance of
conceptual gestures. The film genre of the documentary is also referenced,
whether to manipulate our belief in what is being told or to explore the
history of a particular narrative. And another group of works examines the
potential for an alternative form of performative work in film and video,
utilizing strategies of dance, choreography, and music to explore the rich
intersection between physical movement and film.
As a fundamental part of the show, each of the participating artists was
invited to select an accompanying movie that they consider related to their
work. These selections will be screened as part of a special program that
runs
parallel to the exhibition. It features films by the following directors:
Chantal Akerman, Michelangelo Antonioni, Robert Bresson, René Clair, Jean
Eustache, Federico Fellini, Alfredo Gurrola, Charles Laughton, Joseph Losey,
Leo McCarey, Max Ophüls, Michael Powell, Alain Resnais, Tony Richardson,
Jacques Tati, Bertrand Tavernier, Dalton Trumbo, Jean Vigo, Orson Welles
Blockbuster: Cinema for Exhibitions is the first exhibition produced by CIAC
that contains works that are not part of CIAC's collection. It aims to
contribute to the decentralization of culture in Mexico and will travel to
some of the most significant contemporary art museums in the country before
embarking on a tour of other countries in Latin America. The physical
presentation involves a number of temporary structures that guarantee the
best
technical environment for the screenings while also being mobile enough for
the extended tour. The overall program is designed with the intent to create
a
new kind of relationship between exhibition and viewer; the constantly
changing programs and screenings of classic movies, if they are to be
experienced fully, demand repeated visits and a more active dialogue between
institution and audience.
Created in 1992, the Isabel and Agustín Coppel Collection is considered one
of
the most solid and dynamic within contemporary art in México. Each one of
its
projects reaffirms the commitment to stimulation and diffusion of art and
culture in México and the world.
An extensive, full-color, bilingual (Spanish/English) accompanying
publication
will be available starting in June 2011. Its design is based on the
iconography of traditional Mexican split-fountain movie posters with their
bold typefaces and vivid colors. It includes essays by the curator Jens
Hoffmann, the scholar José Luis Barrios, and the film critic Ernesto
Diezmartínez Guzmán as well as information on all the participating artists
and their works, extended notes on the classic films selected by the
artists,
and a special insert featuring a newly commissioned photographic project by
Fernando Ortega depicting abandoned or repurposed movie theaters in Mexico
City.

Industry vet Kevin Liles downplays his role in Kanye West protégé's top-five debut, in Mixtape Daily.

Executive Decision: Kevin Liles
Big Sean is Finally Famous after selling more than 87,000 copies of his debut album and landing the #3 spot on the Billboard albums chart.
Part of the reason has been the addition of former Def Jam and Warner Music Group President Kevin Liles to Sean's management team. Liles, however, humbly downplayed his involvement.
"G.O.O.D. Music did an amazing job ... and I'm just glad I'm still here and able to give light and share some experience to what these kids are going through," Liles told Mixtape Daily from the red carpet at DJ Cassidy's birthday party Wednesday in New York City. "He's the next generation of hip-hop."
Back in February, Sean added Liles and his KWL company to his management team to work alongside his already-existing manager, Mike Brinkley. It was around that time Sean confirmed a split with previous manager Michael "Blue" Williams, an industry veteran who helped guide the careers of Outkast and R&B group Jagged Edge.
In the months leading up to Sean's release, he began to garner big looks, performing his #1 rap single "My Last" alongside Chris Brown at the 2011 BET Awards and on the main stage at Hot 97's annual Summer Jam concert in June. Now, Sean's star is set to shine brighter as he preps the Hype Williams-directed video for his Kanye West-assisted single "Marvin & Chardonnay."
It was Sean's natural talents that got him this far; Liles just gave him a bit of a push. "All I did was fan his fire. I don't make stars or anything like that; I just help them do what they do best," Liles said. "He's a great rapper, he's fashion, he's entertainment, he's a lyricist, he's all those things, and I'm just glad again they allowed me to be part of it."
