Not much really when you stop and think about. You can get 12TB of storage on Newegg (let's say 4000 3TB drives) for a couple hundred grand. Of course Apple is buying more than just drives.
obviously you have never shopped for Enterprise storage for a SAN
back when 2TB drives were $300 or so we bought some 500GB drives from EMC for $800 each plus or minus some $$$.

For me it's a simple matter of timing - I'm waiting for LTE (I tend to keep my phones for 3-5 years). Verizon eliminated the 1-year contract option, so a non-LTE iPhone 5 isn't something I'd buy either, let alone an iPhone4.

well here is the damage.
I cant get the old paste off the gpu as its baked on hard! I've managed to clean the heatsink of the remnants though.
Will applying a layer to the the GPU be enough? Will the remaining contact area of new paste be effective or is it FUBAR?
Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) and qtips can't get more of the paste off? I've read about people using a razor blade before to scrape it off, or use acetone, or even a hair dryer. You might wait for someone with actual experience removing the old stubborn stuff to post a reply, I'm just repeating what I've read elsewhere.
I also see Artic Silver makes a 2 step cleaning kit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100010&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-CPU+Thermal+Paste+/+Grease-_-Arctic+Silver-_-35100010

Fourth gen wasn't. None of them were. HP were very briefly licensed and were co-branding 3rd gens but that ended very quickly.

Maybe the reason they didn't bring it up was because they are working on a new feature (ie new maps or turn by turn gps built into the next iOS; they did mention it was to collect data for something like that), but now that the media has blown it out of proportion, they had to come out and address it. At least, that's what I'm assuming Apple's point of view was.

An early gift from my parents.
One of my gifts was the bowl game that you were watching. First SDSU bowl win in many years. It's too bad the Chargers didn't follow suit...
Anyways, Christmas presents! My main gift was a nice Citizen eco-drive watch from my girlfriend. I also got cash, a nice bottle of scotch and a cool little toy RC chopper to supplement the four channel one I already have. Had some fun times buzzing the pet cat!

maybe i missed it but why is everyone saying that is not much storage? they are not going to store a copy of a movie for each person. they will just store a movie and allow everyone that has access to that file read it. That makes sense to me and will allow a crap load of media to be saved there.

Anyone Know if Blue-Ray discs are archival? The normal DVD have a high failure rate after a few year in storage. Even CD-R media will not last decades.
Actually this has been proved wrong. As long as your careful, keep them in a good tempered area they'll be fine. I still have some of my original CDs and DVDs that I burned that work fine - of course it doesn't hurt to backup those discs though. Scratching them is easy. ;)

Doubtful since their warranty does not transfer to a second hand buyer. If I were to buy an iPod and then sell it on ebay a few weeks later the new owner would not be covered.
Hmm, Well If I want to try out an item and then resell it later I ask the retailer for a gift receipt which doesn't list a name, but just a price & Date of Purchase. Then when I sell it I just include the gift receipt to the buyer and the warranty is good for them also.

I think all of the talking points have already been fleshed out. Bottom line is that Mac's simply are not an enterprise solution.
* Can you integrate them into an enterprise network?
Sure. I can also plug my home router into the network. I'm sure it'd work fine.
* Can the be your standard?
Not unless you're a small corp that doesn't use any real business applications. Then again, I wouldn't consider that to be 'Enterprise IT'.
* Group policy is only needed because Windows machines are insecure.
Can you honestly believe this if you actually have even the slightest amount of experience in an enterprise IT environment? That's the most ignorant thing I've read all day.
* Applications are all going to be web-centric.

If you want to talk TCO and use web-based applications as the justification, then you have to compare a Mac to a thin client..... and well, the results are obvious.

This is a microsoft question I'd suggest using there forums for a faster response. Have you tried holding the "fn" key when clicking delete? That's what I always do and it lines it up for me.

How anyone could seriously think that 16 years behind bars, even with a television, is a cushy way to spend a life is beyond me. Who here would volunteer?

Let's be clear because i don't want to accuse you of implying something you're not. Is this or is this not what you are saying?
