Even one example of someone being killed by the state for something they did not do invalidates the whole edifice of capital punishment.
This is why I have so much trouble understanding the "pro death penalty" viewpoint.
Now, if the legal system was infallible (hah) the death penalty discussion would be much more interesting.

We'll see. I'm hopeful for maybe 4.4. We'll see how enthusiastic the cpu is about doing that.. I'm going to be using a CM Hyper 212+ which isn't the absolute best cooler you can buy but it's also not something ridiculous like $80. Still, it will annihilate the hilariously tiny stock intel cooler for sure.
Does anyone know if the AMD 6970 is compatible with GPU2? I can't really find any conclusive information on it and of course I can't try it myself yet. Some people say forcing ati_r800 works but others don't.

People are seriously complaining about $3? I mean, Jesus. I understand wanting bug fixes and stuff for a version for free. But you really expect this guy to give you major updates for free, when this is probably his career at this point?! Do him, yourself and the rest of us that have to listen to you a favor.. go use another Twitter app and shut up. He?s already said if he could, he would gladly offer an upgrade price for 1.x users.. but that?s not on him. That?s Apple and the app store.

I've been getting "Call Failed" on about 25% of my phone call attempts since 4.3.1. It's really, really annoying.

I changed mine online. Didn't affect my costs at all. I had the unlimited texting plan already and the 700Min family plan. So I just got an extra perk for free.. :D

I think "1" gig is more than enough.

I can remember much smaller disk drives, under 100MB that used 14 inch diameter patters and hydraulic pistons to move the read/write heads. The disk drive was about the same size and shape as a home washing machine. This was in the early 1970's.
Can we go back to floppy drives? I love the way those 5 1/4" floppys.. ummm flopped :)

I have a 2009 17 and 13 macbook pros that I want to trade in and get a new computer. I have been trying craiglslist, but just get bogus offers, so was wondering if any one has dealing with powermax? I dont want to do ebay because just to easy for someone to mail me back an empty box and say they never received it.

To all of those talking about jailbreaking, that's unpatchable at this point. Remember that they found a boot rom vulnerability that they had been hoping for. Those can only be patched by hardware, not software. The only problem is that it only allows tethered jailbreaks, without an additional vulnerability to exploit to make it untethered. This jailbreaks all devices except the recently released iPad 2, so they just make a few updates and release a tethered jailbreak right away, and an untethered jailbreak when they can.
TL;DR - Apple cannot patch the jailbreak with software updates, so stop worrying about it.

- Disabled Spelling and Grammer Check
- Typing in a single page
CPU starts from 30% and stabilises around 90%. This only happens when there are equations on the page, but I'm not typing in the equations - just typing beneath them. The typing is slow and can't keep up with me. Has anyone else found this? Also, I have Word 14.1, Latest so far.

I think people are in contracts and don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get out of them. Also people know that a new iphone is rumored to be out in the Summer/Fall so why buy an old model.
